The retreat is located at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, to serve the ASU LightWorks Global Institute, the dwelling will serve as a temporary residence for visiting faculty and researchers working on with institute.   

​

Creative natural lighting was to serve the Lightworks was the main goal for this project, creating a light screen and studying the natural light and shade was a main focus in this projects. prior do designing the dwellings, intensive light studies took place.
